PPI claims after IVA

Hi,
I took out a loan years ago with HSBC (sadly I destoyed the paperwork!) and since then have been through an IVA. HSBC were one of the creditors involved in my IVA so I am just wondering if I can still claim for mis-sold PPI considering I've already not paid them back in full for the original loan??
Plus my account with HSBC was closed 6 years ago, will this be a problem?
Thanks in advance.

The only "problem" is that any redress (should it be awarded) will go toward the defaulted loan you have with the Bank.
Only proceed if you simply want the satisfaction of knowing the Bank acknowledge they mis-sold you PPI.0 -

Alhough if the bank knows you are not going to get a penny, it may decide to auto-uphold as it helps their stats at no cost to them. So, the satisfaction may be false as well.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
