West Midlands Road Safety Partnership has launched the "Don't Get Distracted" campaign. If you're under 15 you can enter a competition to win an iPad - and pick up some great tips on Road Safety!

Wouldn't this have been better targetted at motorists? - in two years time the kids won't give a rats about road safety, all they'll give a monkeys about is rich mum and dad paying their insurance and racing round like looneys trying to pull.

I find using my iPad while driving the most distracting thing I can do in a car on my own.

I think as you have to be 15 or under to enter, that won't be a problem

You enter by providing name, phone number and email address, which makes it a harvesting of information scheme.

With what purpose in mind is not clearly explained other than "West Midlands Road Safety Partnership and our working partners will have access to your data. It will be used purely for making contact with you at a later date "

The cost of one iPad will be insignificant compared to the amount of information they will gather.
