Bin Collections Rant!!

What is it with stockport council, our bin collections are every 2 weeks and are collected by SolutionsSK. Every other month they fail to empty one of our bins or a neighbours bin (whether that being household black bin, or other coloured recycling wheely bins).
Whenever we complain to the council they say the earliest it can be recollected is the following week and then what happens is the following week it is not collected either and so we wait yet another week (so 4 weeks from original collection).:(
What is the best way to complain to get this resolved? Just worn down by this:mad:

From the Stockport council website.Council Tax is a form of local taxation. It is a means of raising money which is used to help pay for the services the Council provides.
These services include social services, libraries, street lighting, refuse collection, education, leisure services, etc. All domestic properties have a ‘Council Tax Band' which is assigned by the Valuation Office (an agency of the HM Revenue and Customs).
I would be temped to write to the council, asking how much of your council tax bill is for refuse collection.
Tell them that as they are not providing the service that they are taking money for, you feel that it is only right that they either refund you a pro rata amount of this for every failed collection, or reduce your tax bill to take the reduced service into account.
Say that you are sure that they would withhold payment for a service that wasn't supplied, so what's wrong with council tax payers doing the same0 -

It would be a total waste of a stamp and OP's time. He may receive a letter back with excuses and apology, but definitely no money. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Next time they forget to collect your bin, take it down to the council offices and empty it in the middle of the foyer."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Bin left for 4 weeks..Overflowing...forced to use black bin liners not animal proof.... looks like they have been got into by animals such as dogs, rats, foxes... Health hazard...and so on.
