I am going overboard on protection for my PC. I currently have installed:
Spyware Doctor
PC Pitstop Optimise
Registry Mechanic
Ad Aware SE
AVG Antivirus
Windows Defender
Windows Firewall
Is this over kill?
What could be taken off?
Thank you!

Windows firewall. Install a proper firewall i.e. Comodo, Kerio or Zone Alarm. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

As well as espresso I'd remove:
Spyware Doctor
PC Pitstop Optimise
Registry Mechanic
And simply install them and run them when and as needed. Reason being is that they will reduce your RAM and resources as they;re constantly running! PC Optimise sometimes works but the thing is once again its taking up RAM to do so! Which slows down your comp!
Virus + Firewall scanner is perfectly fine, then hijack this and adaware to sort out spyware!
Thats my setup and never have a prob
I'm behind a router so don't even use a software firewall as NAT does the job (for incoming traffic) [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
