why are you shocked by this report? they've been floundering for ages, it was (or is, depending on whether this is true) just a matter of time.

Their shares have been suspended pending clarification of their financial situation. Apparently the Board has said there is no equity value left in the Group.

Last week they went to a shade over 3p so some brave souls made a good return because they sold in time - but anyone who tried to follow them and didn't has been hung out to dry.

Their pre-owned games were more expensive than new versions online, a completely pointless shop.

Not a surprise in the slightest. An outdated business model.

EDIT: I'm a PC gamer mainly and they've properly sidelined that part of the business. Hence why Steam, Amazon, Play etc have prospered.

Me too, what grips my !!!! is that steam similar prices to GAME. How the hell do they justify that? The vast majority of the time it's cheaper to get a physical copy sent from amazon than it is to download it through steam.

I only buy on stream in the sales, the rest are the online retailers, I have found shopto and play to be better than amazon in many cases.
