been home owner impact on premium

hi all,
what is the impact of being a home owner on a insurance premium for car/bike and home content insurance?

in addition i appreciate if someone could explain what are the jobs that are rated high risk

    I know this may sound lazy ,
    i looked at
    Martin's insurance on search but pet insurance came up and also had a look at the articles on the insurance forum tab https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/603514

    could not see it
    if you don't mind can you paste the link or if not i will have to search deeper

    thanks for he job insurance estimater or whatever it is called.
    however i still didn't manage to get answer as why insurance people ask if you are a home owner.

    I clicked on the links above but they re not like an article and have cheap car or van insurance ...

    You have to select which article you want!!

    Basically I would guess that home owners are seen as more trustworthy/less likely to make claims. Insurers don't ask questions that don't matter.

    why insurance people ask if you are a home owner

    If you are a home owner you are less likely to just run away.
    You are also in a lot of cases goin g to some equity so can be sued.
    So in general you are a safer bet.

    This is like pulling teeth.

    Do one online quote indicating that you are and one where you are not. If all the other details are the same you'll get your answer.

    Although I can't think many people would buy a property just to get cheaper car insurance!!!
