in Credit cards
Hello
I have just been refused a Tesco Credit Card. I wanted it to maximise Tesco points.
I only have one other credit card which I have paid off each month for years. No other cards or credit. No CCJ's or other debts. Checked Experion etc. and no apparent problems. Rent flat from a housing association. Only possible explanation I can thnk of is I live in an area which probably in not good for credit companies!!
Any other thoughts?
Alan

Could it be you dont have enough credit history. My dad (who is 75) was refused a credit card a couple of years ago because he had always dealt in cash and most of the bills for the house were in my mums name.0

Thanks Lisa
It's possible, although I do use current credit card for nearly all spending ( paid off each month) and all other bills in my name.
Thanks again

Income too lowAny other thoughts?
Financial associate problems
Not on Electoral Roll
Time at address not long enough
Too many addresses in recent years
Not traceable on the Electoral Roll continuously over the last few years
How many credit accounts are shown on your credit report (open and settled)?
But, Tesco are known to be picky so it could be you just don't meet the profile of their target customer.0 -

Hi Yorkshire Boy
Been on electoral roll for years. 12 years at current address. Reasonable retirement income. No associate problems. Only one credit card and mobile phone. Glad to hear Tesco are 'picky' as I thought I would have had a good credit score.

As others have said Tesco can be picky. It's probably just that you don't fit their target profile.
Credit scores don't really much, there will always be internal scoring.
