thank you all

Woke up feeling ever so slightly fragile this morning  had a very good night out with the Navy boys last night!
think we stopped drinking at 3am, everyone crashed at mine last night so I had to get them all up and out at 8am :rotfl:.
In work this morning but someone else is looking after my work kids (thank god!) so I'm pretending to do work at my desk :rotfl:. My lovely colleagues decorated my desk with banner and balloons. And got me cake, so did my work kids so I have 2 birthday cakes so far!
I'm out for lunch with work, then off to uni for few hours, then out for food with the girls tonight and drinks if I can handle it!
Have a good day all

:bdaycake:Happy 30th Birthday Flutterby, sounds like it got off to a good start last night

Essexgirl-belated birthday wishes for yesterday to you, glad you were spoiled by your family.
RR-poor DD  it makes you so mad. There'd be a bit of a hue and cry if there 'wasn't time' to sort out the wages for the offending staff.Hope you get assurances it won't happen again.
Bossymoo- I hope you are ok after yesterday-it must have been so hard for you,and I am sending lots of hugs for you,and your MIL too.
The house is still tidy from the viewers on Monday evening,so only basic hw done.Going to have hm chicken broth shortly, and there is pork in the sc for tea.
DGD visited last night-I hadnt seen her for 2 weeks due to me having the stomach bug
,though DS had.I really noticed a difference in her development.
I went into town yesterday to sign a book of get well wishes for the footballer who suffered the cardiac arrest at the weekend. We watched the match live on tv,as did a lot of other people from the town, which was awful. When you see s.o. play week in week out you feel like you know them. Our football club has had amazing support from all over the world-its very humbling, and makes you realize that actually there are many more good people than bad.The medical staff were wonderful :A,and hopefully he will recover for his family.
Right, time for my soup, and no doubt the dog won't say no to a spot of lunch either:rotfl:Have a good day all xx
PS.Candygirl- hope the funeral goes as well as it can do.Hugs xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi Everyone
What a lovely day again today.
I have done a few chores before work today and Im planning to do the ironing this evening. I need to have a look at my finances and budget again for the month - I need to keep track of my spending. I have taken to popping into town on a Saturday and spending around £20 on "bits and bobs" - nothing I really need and it all adds up doesnt it! So thats my challenge - I will stay at home and do something productive!
I am also going to do the weekly meal plan and shopping list this evening and hopefully get an early night with my book!
Im still not familiar with everyones names but I hope everyone is well!

Sorry I've been mia again!! :bdaycake:Penblwydd Hapus to FB and EG.
Hugs to those coping with loss and difficult times.
The vet rang this morningand apparently Molly has a very rare form of feline leukemia but they will try to treat it initially with tablets - she used the words 'not excessively expensive' again so cross fingers
I took mum and sister out for lunch yesterday to a country house hotel and a visit to Portmeirion after, mainly to celebrate mum's 85th and mothers day but alos to cheer my sis up as she has had a difficult time healthwise recently. We had a lovely day and lunch was delish, trouble was we all wanted to curl up on the huge couches and sleep afterwards! :rotfl:
Not much OS recently but have fitted in the ironing and washing and will make a crumble for tea tonight to go with the steak which was reduced to £4.99 and wll feed two of us! :T
Ooops am getting carried away again, better do some more ironing.

Hi!
Great excitement today as new fridge/freezer delivered. It's HUGE. Has a much bigger fridge than usual. Plenty of hidey holes where I can stash things and forget them.
Happy Birthday Flutterby. Hope you didn't find too many grey hairs and wrinkles this morning, and can you still get up from the floor without having to hold on to something? Well, you're good for a bit longer then.;)
RR. Your poor Dad. That is simply dreadful. I do hope that you are keeping a log of all these incidents. When I wrote to complain about my DD's treatment in hospital I was able to quote dates, times, people spoken to or phoned, names and brief contents of conversations. Not due to my own diligence but my DB is one of those super-organised people who records everything.
Just a tip - whenever I have to write to complain about anything important, and I am very seldom driven to complain, I find that finishing with the phrase, 'I do hope that I'm not going to be forced to go to the press with this', produces instant results.
Yesterday We went to sus out the new Sainsbury's near here. It is lovely and I managed to limit myself to a new pair of socks,(pat on back!). The Rev went off to look at DVDs and we agreed to meet at the foot of the stairs. I went back there several times but there wasn't a sign of her. Suddenly the very loud tannoy announced my name and demanded that I go to the customer services where my 'daughter' was waiting for me. Oh! the cringing embarrassment.
She laughed all the way home.:mad:
Dinner tonight will be odds and ends from my disembowelled fridge. I can't sully my new one with anything less than perfect!I believe that friends are quiet angels

RR - that's shocking. Can't think of words to describe how that makes me feel.
Candy - Thoughts for tomorrow.
Managed to get some of mount washmore dried on the line today which makes a change, I have ironed it along with a bit of the other stuff from the basket but still a long way to go on the washing front!
Had an interview yesterday for seasonal job that I did last year and have a 2nd one on Friday. I know that having 2 jobs is very tiring but it keeps me busy and the money comes in very handy!
Can't believe that I am still receiving birthday pressies, people are so kind - need to turn 50 more often!!
Take care. XX0
