Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 21st March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everyone :D
Usual early start with me and Luna. Feeling rather tired this morning but will stick to my plan of 30 mins of yoga and see if that perks me up. Failing that it's coffee, coffee and more coffee ;)
Not a lot of OS going on for the rest of the week. Back at my mums this morning to help with my dads birthday cake and the forest school this afternoon with DD and her class.

Tea is a makeshift as I have tap class.

Essex Girl - belated Happy birthday wishes for yesterday. I hope you had a good day xxxx

Flutterby - happy 30th birthday lovey  have a fantastic day xxx

Hugs and spoons all round for those that need them. Have a good day OS or not.

All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.

    Good Morning All

Thank you Bitsy, and a very Happy 30th Birthday Flutterby

Had a nice day yesterday, round my mums for lunch then out in the evening for a meal. Got spoilt by the family, perfume, jewellery and loads of lush stuff :D also some Amazon vouchers so can order my wish list.

Back to normal today, didn't do any work so lots to do. In the afternoon had to take OH to the walk in docs as he had earache and dizziness. He has an ear infection so is home today.

This morning need to drop DD at the station as she is going to college late. Loads of office work today so think will concentrate on that and leave the housework till tomorrow.

WM repair man came yesterday, need to keep an eye on the machine today as dont think it is properly fixed.:(

Salmon, new pots and peas for tea.

    Have a great day all.x

    Morning everyone

Happy Birthday Flutterby - hope you have a great day x

Happy Belated Birthday Essexgirl - hope you had a great day x

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Bright with sun trying to break through here this morning. Will put washing on the line shortly. DH up and off to work stupid early.

Work was busier than normal for a Tuesday - so day went reasonably quickly. I have to go to the other office today as I have to attend a training session this morning but only have to work until lunchtime then on days off - yay! Dinner last night was pie, mash and veg for the menfolk and fish, jacket and veg for me. Tonight will be stew and dumplings, mash and veg - seem to have a glut of veg in the fridge so want to get that used up.

Will be going to the school later this afternoon as they have a "drop in" as they are becoming an academy and are wanting to change the uniform - they want to go to blazers, shirts and ties - don't think it's going to be popular or the right choice for the school but hey I'm only a parent!! Will have to wait and see apparently no definite decision has been made, yeah right!!

Have all the normal chores to do - we're not away this weekend but are doing a meet the members weekend at a local caravan dealers, so will be out most of the day Sat and Sun.

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x

    Morning All!

First off: :bdaycake: to Flutterby and belated to Essex Girl

Went to see the Doctor yesterday. We have come to a compromise. I have agreed to go back on one of my blood pressure pills, and take supplements and lose weight. I have two months to prove that I can do it. I am really determined now!:T
My garden is finished. Looks bare now, but hopefully OH will take me out at the weekend to start getting plants.:T Want a seaside look, as the raised beds look like beach groins! will put up some photos on facebook later.

Getting my greenhouse base done later, so that's good. Only had it for a year:rotfl:

Hospital this morning, seeing my Nurse, then going with my cousin to the crem, as it is the first anniversary of her husbands' death. It's gone so fast.:o
Out tonight with her for a curry. Not sure what to eat on this new diet, will have to look for it!

    Have a good day all.
