Anyone else having trouble importing Googlemail into Thunderbird?

This is the 3rd day that I have been unable to bring my emails from my Googlemail account into Thunderbird where I read and write my emails from.
I have 2 Googlemail accounts - one I use to set accounts up for my kids and see who they are 'talking' to online - and my other main account which I used for everything else. They are both on the same Thunderbird program as seperate accounts so the emails come into their own folders. The main account is not importing, the other one is so it is not Thunderbird, it has to be a Google issue - doesn't it?
It says the password is not recognised but I have re-entered it (many times to be sure) and - to be sure I had not been hacked - I have logged in online and it is definitely the right password and it is definitely working there. They are just not importing.
Just wondered if anyone else has issues and how I report it. This has been happening quite a lot recently.
Thanks.
PS. Apologies if any of the terms are incorrect, not sure on the techy speak.

I just googled (after spending ages trawling through their help pages) and on another forum they siuggested the 'captura' (?) was locked so they said to do an additional verification there and it unlocks it: https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
So hope this helps someone else. I'll keep it on here but wonder if this means someone has been trying to access my account. I have had issues with someone lately.0 -
Mine is fine , but it could be a spam filter issue, have a look on the account using Firefox/I.E.(spits)/or chrome, opera, safari whichever is your browser of choice.....
Send a mail from a non gmail account to the one with the probs see if that gets around it.?4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy0 -
Do you have 2 stage verification setup and therefore need to generate a unique password for Thunderbird in your GMail account settings?0

No, I have no idea but it is working now and emails are coming back in again. I am going to leave the link on here as I have had these problems before (but they sorted themselves) and I can easily come back and find it.
I've had some issues with someone lately after I reported them for something, so I have changed my password to be on the safe side, I did not know if they had tried to access my account and got caught out at the capcha level - the link above unlocks it. Seems they have a habit of logging into peoples accounts so I think I had best change all of my passwords to be on the safe side now.0
