Poor care & negligence Private Southside Hospital in Glasgow

Hi

I just want to warn any forum members about going to a private hospital in the south side of Glasgow where I have received an absolutely disgraceful and disgusting standard of care and treatment from staff.

I strongly urge people to avoid this hospital and go to the one near the west end. This hospital is a non profit private hospital and you will be treated with a high standard of care and dignity.

I'm in a serious situation and want to do everything I can to protect people who are ill from ruining their life and going through what me and my family have.

Oh dear, it sounds as though you have had a horrible time. Hope you are ok now though.
  • Thanks for your reply, unfortunately I will probably have to live with whats happened for the rest of my life and the hospital does not care. They will by the time I'm finished though.

There must be a complaints procedure and a governing organisation (local health authority?).

I would put your complaints in writing so that it can be investigated.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
  • To the OP, if you are thinking of taking legal action, avoid putting too many details here.

The OP stated it was a private hospital, so the local health authority has no jurisdiction. However there will be a complaints procedure. Sorry you have had a bad time, but as posted above - no details.
    Gas doc on the loose
  • Thanks for the reply, the hospital complaints procedure is an absolute joke, it has been escalated.

I want to advice people that this is a major private hospital in the south side of Glasgow that carries out operations and cosmetic surgery - if you are from Scotland do not touch the place with a barge pole.

If it has been escalated, check what the next step is in terms of regulatory responsibility ie the Healthcare Commission.

They would not be able to help you re the complaint, but if you are worried about care standards, they may be able to help or signpost you as needed.
