New light fitting no earth

Putting up a new ceiling light but it only have a live and nuetral connection in the new light, while i have 3 wires coming out the ceiling, so not sure what i should do with the earth wire?thanks in advance.

Hi Quanz, bit strange there is no earth wire. You say there is 3 wires coming from the ceiling? what colour are they? If you cannot find an earth then your easiest option is a double insulated light as in the link below. Any pics?

The fitting is double insulated, its a new ikea light fitting - its just really what to do with the neutral that will be left hanging.
RED
BLACK
GREEN/YELLOW
The light fitting is
LIVE
NEUTRAL.

the live and neutral will be connected to the light, the earth will be in left in the ceiling with connector block within an enclosure.

thanks - guess i need to leave it til tomorrow and go to B&Q to get one of them.
