Weekend in Looe/Polperro

Myself and the wife are looking to stay near Looe or Polperro for the weekend of 27th April for 3 nights.
We dont mind an apartment, caravan or bungalow type place but would rather not be in a b&b as we want a separate room to the bedroom to sit in.
There isnt a budget as such but somewhere nice for under £300 would be ideal.
Ideally it would be within a taxi ride of Looe or Polperro so that we can go there for food and a few drinks then come back.
We thought of a caravan site so that there will be entertainment in the nights.
We are 34 and 30 so don't want somewhere where everywhere shuts at 9pm and the highlight is afternoon tea.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

when we stayed in Looe many yrs ago we stayed at Looe Bay holiday park.
It's not too far from Looe, believe there was a bus service ( but cant recall how often it ran) and if i recall correctly you could go down a back route to the town, but it was a long walk. Shouldn't be too bad in taxi tho
  • I've just had a look at the website and it looks ideal and very reasonable prices. A nice downhill walk to the town and a bus back up. Thanks for suggesting this one.

Looe is a lovely place I been there twice, stayed just in a holiday camp couple of years back on outside of Looe. I been to Devon and Cornwall loads of times and Looe is one of our favourite places

mcarnold007 by the way you cant advertise your holiday let here in case you were planning on doing so later

Parkdean Looe Bay is nice, there is always another park just a little further up from the Parkdean one, can't remember what it's called though. But if you are happy with a static caravan and abit of evening entertainment, it's ideal.
Whoever said 'Money doesn't bring happiness' isn't using it properly. :p
  • I think we are going to book the parkdean one. A decent 2 bed caravan is £137 for the weekend which is a bargain. The main thing is if it is quiet in Looe in the nights there is always entertainment on the site to keep us occupied.

We stay at Looe Bay every year for a mid week break just to get away from it all...It is lovely and as we always go out of season, it is never too busy. We walk into Looe but there is a very steep, long hill involved so as long as you dont mind this. Polperro is inly a 15 min drive away from the park also.

We have always taken our dog to the park so have stayed in the 'silver', budget caravans and these have been great, we've never had a problem.
