I have emails that were compacted/Archived etc from Outlook Express to Microsoft Outlook and I now can't access emails I need to print off. Anyone got any ideas. Do I need to import the files back and would it be easy to do? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Do you know where the archive file is on your system?Comping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00

I'm not very sure, I think it's in Microsoft Outlook. I just get a warning up every so often telling me to Archive files, so it compacts them and that's it. Now though, for the first time ever I need some of the emails back to print receipts etc and get ref nos and I can't access them. I know I printed them but ransacked the house and can't find them. No Problem. Close Outlook
Click on Start, Control Panel.
Click on Mail then Data Files.
Click on Add then the file type you have (usually already highlighted in blue) select the archive file and click OK
Click OK again then click close.
Open Outlook again and you should now see another folder which will contain your archive messagesComping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00 -

Sorry just re-read your last message. What do you get when you click on Mail. Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express?Comping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00

I download my messages to Outlook but it compacts them to Outlook Express. Mail system is a bit messed up to say the least but hoping I can resolve the matter of the emails.
I get the following when I click on the Mail icon in the Control Panel.

I'm a bit confused. You say you download messages using Outlook which then compresses them to oulook express?Comping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00

I told you it was messed up. Don't worry. I've just managed to locate the receipts I need, thankfully. I think I need to import the files going by the help given by Outlook Express/Microsoft Outlook. Thanks for your help though, appreciate it. :-)“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0
