Other attractions near Legoland

Hi

We (Hubby, son 9 and myself) are going camping at the Spring Bank holiday. We are planning on going to Legoland and wondered if anyone could suggest anywhere else to visit that is cheap/free to enter? We are using the tesco vouchers to buy a season ticket for Legoland so will have a few days in there. We have never been to this area, except a 4 day stay in central london, before so would really appreciate some advice.

Thanks in advance
The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T

  • Hampton Court is not too far away, and is really worth a visit; you can use your Tesco vouchers there too.

Go to this map, zoom out two or three notches, and wait for the info to load. That'll show you what's around. (Other attractions are marked in purple, with a black star.)
  • Went to Windsor Castle was great also if you time it right you can see the changing of the gaurds (for free) times are usually on signs aroung the area.

Windsor castle itself is not free entry, but a day could easily be spent around the castle, town, riverside+,eton etc, guards change on alternate weekdays and march up from barracks to castle, nice to see, details are on royal windsor website, that also gives other ideas whats on in area,Legoland itself is outside windsor towards ascot, car or bus trip needed.Virginia Water for walking/lake etc is free eccept for carpark as is Windsor Great Park,a walk to the Copper Horse, deer park etc,Runnymede is also nearby,Kennedy memorial, riverside walks etc, free except for car park
Best to take your own picnic into Legoland as food prices are quite high
