So you pay them £7,145 and give them your old car? As long as that includes the metallic paint then it's a good deal; it works out at the same as the broker price exactly.
Otherwise the Corolla should be worth about £250 on eBay for minimal hassle, or £50 scrap - for most people, it wouldn't be worth going to the bother of disposing of it to save that kind of money.
If you're going to be driving this car then you should test drive the 107, the Panda and the Kia Picanto before making your mind up.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350

yes that right.
we did a test drive today on the 107 OH liked it, (i dont drive yet so that why we need a small car, for when i do drive).
had a look at the kia but was not keen on the inside not sure on the panda through.
thanks for your advice, first time buying a new car so a bit nevous.
which broker price are you looking at?0 -
http://www.drivethedeal.com for the 107; http://www.fiatsupasaver.com for the Fiat (although it's not a broker, just a dealer website with alternative branding).
Your comments on the Kia are fair enough; the interior's not the best and with an automatic it's actually slightly more expensive than the 107 (but also better equipped).
Essentially if you go with the dealer, you are giving them your car for nothing but that may not be such a bad thing - if it's really rusty it's only worth a couple of hundred quid and with that in mind, you might feel more comfortable buying locally and the peace of mind would be worth it for you.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350

What model 107 is it? https://www.uknewcars.co.uk have a PEUGEOT 107 1.0 Urban 5dr 2-Tronic for £7045. Dont know if they take trade ins.0

thanks peter1965, went onto the website and the car which i am thinking about would work out at £7410. its the 107 1.02 -tronic 5dr met. i cant see anything any services, which i have been offered with the dealer. have you used this company?0
-
Services? Are they offering servicing as well? If so, a service is worth up to £150 a time and that would really swing the deal for me if I decided to go for this car with the dealer.
drivethedeal.com are £250 cheaper than uknewcars.co.uk and are very well established and with a very good reputation, so I'd probably not look at the second broker.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350

they do the first service and the next one is then not due for another 2 years.
we are going to see the panda tomorrow, it was also talked about on top gear tonite a presenter got one so i cant be that bad.0 -
I can vouch for https://www.drivethedeal.com , great service and very reputable.0

Heh... the "first" service is the pre-delivery inspection, which everyone will do before delivery, and the "second" one (really the first) not being due for two years - that's just the standard service interval.
If you're keeping the car beyond three years I'd personally have an oil and filter change done by Peugeot Express Fit every six months or to one year to keep the engine in tip-top condition, regardless of mileage.Debt at highest: September 2003 - £26,350
