Is my claim against correct company?

Good afternoon all,

following some fantastic advice from these forums I sent off an SAR to Barclaycard prior to sending PPI complaint form.
Having recieved this it appears that I had been transferred from Morgan Stanley to Barclaycard in 2009.
My question is therefore will my PPI claim be valid for Barclaycard given that the mis-selling was originally by Morgan Stanley?

    Hi there

I understand that Barclays are dealing with Morgan/Stanley, but maybe someone who have dealt with them will clarify on this, but what you could do is give Barclays a quick call and ask them if they are dealing with this company and where to send post.

    Good luck.;)

You contact Barclays but make it clear that it is a morgan stanley card so they look in the right place. If you closed your MS account prior to the sale to Barclays, then Barclays may have little or no information on you and will reject your complaint unless you can supply information.

    Thank you Di and dunstonh.
I only realised it was previously MS as a consequence of the SAR information recieved from Barclays therefore i can only assume that they are already aware (may well be a wrong assumption).
This may not be as straightforward as my MBNA claim as i have not used the card for 3 years since i fell out with them ironically enough over the amount of insurance they were charging me. Paid it off and never used it again.
I will let you know how it all goes.
Many thanks again. So many fantasticly helpful and dedicated people on this site. It is heartwarming.
