Left mouse click problem

Why is it that my mouse has stopped opening up a link when left clicking, but will open a new tab if I click using the middle wheel?

The left click works in other pages, but not on this site or the Sayno site, but if I go to another webpage that has different links to click on, the left click works, left click also works when clicking from my favourites list,and just about every where else, the left click worked up to this morning.

I do have tabbed opening with Google, but have used this for a while now without any probs.

Have just noticed that the problem is only in Firefox, left click works in IE, but don't like using IE
