how can I split a v long mp3 track?

I have a very long mp3 track which is actually a 3 hour downloaded radio show. I want to put it onto a cd but the whole show is 3 hours long and its come out as one long track with no stops etc. Is there any way that I can either split it or somehow shrink it so i can burn it to a cd?

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows) is an excellent free MP3 and other music file editor.

What's the size of that mp3 file?
If it's not more than 700MB then it will all fit on one CD-R anyway.

If it's too big for one CD-R then Audacity will do the job. rsykes2000 has posted the download link.

When you use Audacity you can use it to split the file and burn the parts to separate CD-Rs.

Or you could use it to reduce the bitrate of the file so that it all fits onto the one CD-R.
