Will it be getting hot and sticky, can you swim outside in the hotel pool?
or is the city better in winter?

I went to Istanbul last May and it was absolutely lovely weather, nice and warm but not too hot and sticky. One thing to bear in mind though is that whilst it's lovely and warm, any women you're travelling with need to pack some linen trousers and some way of covering their shoulders (I went for my trusty pashmina) because it's a Muslim country, so especially when near the Blue Mosque even when it's really hot you're supposed to cover up. I still managed to come back with a pretty good tan though, having said that!2007 Bronze Olympic Challenge: Total £1057.34 :jDFW Nerd 269: Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0
