Mouldy wallpaper paste I think

I stripped the walls on our house to find that there is mould on them. Just lots of black spots and all over from a certain height. We are 99.9% this is condensation. When I scrape a little off the wall, maybe even just half a mm the plaster is as white as can be so I am assuming that this is just old wall paper paste that has went mouldy. What should I do to the wall before I get someone to re-skim?
Thanks,
C

Household bleach should sort it. Take care re splashes and ventilate (obviously).0

I don't think bleach will work as it has been on the plaster for years. May be sanding? I will give a small area a bleach this evening.0

a mould and mildew remover or sugarsoap or bleach. All should wash it off. If you want to sand do so by all means but sandings a b1tch and the dust is a ball ache. that and your supposed to wash them down before pasting/painting again anyways so might as well try it.0

And please wear a mask, mould spores can be deadlymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Thanks. will definitely be wearing a mask. A normal dust mask do or is there a better one for spores.0
