Clarify unauthorised interest rate charges

Hi, I've found this a brill forum. I've already been fighting for ages to have bank charges refunded unsuccessfully, now I will use the procedures on here!
I've a couple of queries -
1) Is anyone able to clarify if unauthorised interest rate charges (ie when they increase the unauthorised borrowing rate vastly) are able to be claimed back as well as charges for letters?
2) Does the same argument apply to charges and unauthorised interest charged to small companies or are these covered by separate contract law?
Andrew
