Freeview strength of signal question.

Hi folks,

Where as with the old analogue tv signal its possilbe to get a snowy picture if the signal is less than perfect, with freeview is it possible to get a perfect picture with less than a very strong signal i.e if the signal is weak with freeview how will it be on your tv?

Freeview has built-in error correction, so the point at which it goes from perfect to unwatchable is much, much more closely defined than with analogue.

To me the most irritating thing is not the blocky looking picture but the fact that the sound tends to develop loud clicks and chirps.

As above, and if your signal is just about good enough, you'll find that if it's wet, snowing or even windy, you could have problems.
