Heatandplumb.com has contacted us and asked us to update this post. MSE does not endorse anything a company says on the Forum:

Back to the original thread:
Hello.
I recently made a purchase on a website called heatandplub.com
It seeems however that the company may have gone out of business (there is no mention of this on the site). I believe the business was legitimate in the past, based on the fact I have ordered and recieved a product from there before.
The details:
-Paid by Visa Debit card on 23/2/12 (payment taken 27/2/12),
-Payment amount £251.57
-Item purchased: Boiling water tap
Could anyone suggest steps to take in order to claim the money back or indeed recieve the goods? We have made numerous telephone calls, left messages and sent emails, all with no reply.
Interestingly, they still seem to be paying for adverts on Google and their website remains active.-Numerous negative reviews now appear accross the net and can be easily found using Google on a search such as: 'heatandplumb.com reviews'
What steps can I take to get my money back?
I would be pleased to recieve any suggestions.
Thanks
Tom

I have just used this service for non delivery of goods (less than £100) with cc - had to fill in a form and send some proof that had tried to chase. I rang the cc to tell them.
They have just rung to confirm cc credited. Very easy.0 -
Would this method stated above work given that I made payment using a Visa Debit card?
Thanks

This company is spreading misery to all who deal with it. I am one of many who has spent hard earned money on a radiator that didn't turn up and yes another story of "no reply to numerous phone calls". I have given up trying.
My question is why is this company still allowed to trade on the internet ???? It is just plain and simple theft.
I have reported to my bank and they will hopefully refund and trading standards have been alerted.
They need to be stopped now.
I've learnt my lesson. Research all internet traders. If I had researched this bunch of thieves beforhand I would be £188 better off.
If anyone wants a reliable internet trader go to tdlonline.co.uk for all your plumbing needs. Reliable, quick and most importantly cheaper than heatandplumb.
GET THEM BANNED NOW !!!!!!!!!0 -
I agree, heatandplumb.com seem to be spreading a fair amount of 'misery'.
Can anyone report any success in recieving a refund using the methods suggested in posts #2 and #3? Please bear in mind a Visa Debit card was used not a credit card...
Thanks

The link is post 2 is for debit cards
There's valuable hidden protection on Visa or Mastercard credit and debit cards, whether from Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds or any other bank. It's called 'chargeback' and means if you don't get the goods you bought, you may be able to get your money back.0 -
Thanks for the advice, i'll have a go with the method suggested in post #2.
Has anyone any other advice?
Thanks
