Quote me happy.com

Hi All

It's that time of year again to renew our car insurance.

The best deal we've got through comparasion sites is from a company called Quote me happy.com

Has anyone else used this company and is happy with there service? Any problems with claims?

Thanks in advance of any help on this matter.

Regards

Mark

They are really aviva (who say they don't do comparison sites!)

Read up on here and on line to learn about their "service" to find out why they are so cheap.

Note that they charge an extra £250 compulsory excess should you want to have your car repaired at your own choice of garage (which is your right!).

Quote me happy are underwritten by aviva.

I went with them this year, and had a small problem with the website when I paid. I contacted them via twitter and an email quickly sorted out my question. Not had to make a claim so can't comment on that.

They were the cheapest for me too.

    They quoted me happy.

I cracked up laughing for several minutes at the silly premium!

    Cheers all much appreciated.
  • They may quote you happy but the service is pitiful.

RE: fully comprehensive insurance with additional legal and hire car.

Hit by another driver, contacted Quotemehappy gave them details of the incident and that was the last time I spoke to anyone regarding the matter. Was contacted by approved garage, my car was collected and replaced with courtesy car.

Had courtesy car for a week, contacted again by garage who informed me car was a write off. Asked why pictures, etc. had not been requested, told that they were just repairs. Courtesy car was collected. Same day hire company called to tell me I get hire car for 14 days. I informed them that it was 21. They called Quotemehappy and confirmed 21days.

Called by garage around 10 days after to be told that they were advised to contact me to return hire car. I emailed to dispute payment for write off - twice. Up to today 10/07/12 still have not heard from Quotemehappy. On website, there are no contact numbers on which you can ring and speak to someone regarding the matter.

To date I have not received any documentary confirmation cars has been written off, no advice as to next steps, at the time I was told car was written off, I had 6months plus on road tax which I could claim back has declined to nearly 5 going on 4 months. To add to the mix, I tried to use my additional extra which I HAVE paid for - legal cover which is supposed to be 24/7. I called the published 0844 number (charged at 4p per min from a BT line). I was on it for 45 mins and listening the looped recorded voice telling me the team are on their way or something.

All in all, the cost of the insurance has not been worth the money. Customer service is appalling because when you need help, it is not there - hardly insurance.

Not every insurance company will be competitive for your circumstances... people seem to forget just because they advertise 'cheap premiums' it doesn't mean everyone will get one. I get a range of quotes from £400 to £6000...
  • Quote me happy will give you a good quote but you will not get the service you pay for. They are only contactable by email and will take at least two days to respond to you, that's if you're lucky. I have sent several emails to them to update my details as there is some glitch in their system which is not allowing me to to it myself. The last email I sent has not yet been answered after 4 days. I think they try to con you into paying their admin charge to update details for you. Paid for a year upfront as quote was very good, now wish i hadn't as am unable to update details of my new car and this has left me with 3rd party only even though I have paid for fully comp. I would not recommend anyone to have insurance with quote me happy.
  • They are awful, truly awful. Their costumer service and ability to resolve problems is non-existent, they say they are an email only company but you don't even get one of these!

Pay the little bit extra and go elsewhere is my advice.
  • Guess what. It is now 27 days to go until my policy runs out and QuoteMeHappy have not provided me a renewal quote on their website at 28 days to go to renewal as all their small print assures me they will.

So I suppose it will take an email to officeoftheceo@aviva.com to prize out of them the renewal quote they ought to have given me automatically by yesterday at the latest.

They refuse to have phone lines but that only seems to be to give them an exuse to offer the shoddiest possible level of customer service.:mad:

Why would you be bothered what they quote, given your opinion of them stated in your OP?
