whats the best Phone and Internet packages atm? I would prefer it to be cheap as possible.
All I need is phone line (no add ons etc ). And a standard broadband connection.

There is no universal 'cheapest', because broadband is exchange-specific.
Do an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com and look for your available LLU options, if any.These will be the cheapest on your exchange.Do you have an existing active BT-based landline?No free lunch, and no free laptop
