That's not official, and should not be the case..... but you can guess who the alternative customers would be.

Massive thanks to the OP - been thinking about a laptop and have been waiting a while for a bowl you over bargain like this to come up again.

The site is a bit misleading as it does say "over 1,000 products" and not "over 1,000 items".

Picked mine up at Farnborough. Wow, thanks for posting this, what a g-r-e-a-t price for a decent laptop!
The PC World helpline were actually really really really helpful. When I reserved mine online I was so excited I forgot to note the reservation number down! I spoke to a chap named John at Customer Services and we had a good ol' natter about how everyone thinks PC World customer service is poor; he promised to phone me back to confirm whether my order had gone through to Farnborough. Dead on 12 he kept his promise, to say he couldn't get through. He offered to even phone the manager at Farnborough to try to find out whilst I waited (their phone call cost!) and it was all ok and waiting for me.

So this is a summary of my laptop purchase...
1. Reduced from 579.99 - thanks to moneysavingexpert.
2. Chased up PC World hotline using call18899 - thanks to moneysavingexpert.
3. Used a referal from here to get a further 2% off - thanks to moneysavingexpert.
4. Used my credit card to get a further 0.8% off - (not thanks to moneysavingexpert !! Already had this cashback card!)

Any ideas from anyone how I could have done this better??

i ordered 1 of these from nottingham at the very begining got my reservation number etc and ten minutes later got a call saying i can`t have one asthey are all allocated
spoke to some dweeb in CS and basically he told me tough luck.so now i`m waiting for a response to my polite email i sent them.

On the original link it now says "available tomorrow" across the HP computer package, the HP TFT monitor and the Norton Security package.

Do you think they will still be at the same prices or back up to full price ?? Any info welcome ....

we got one from stockport! bit of a faff as the woman cocked up on the till but 45 mins in the queue later we got our laptop
