E-mail notification app?

Does anyone know of a reputable program that will notify me of E-mails?
eg. I believe Google provide there own for Gmail, AND if you have MSN Messenger open, it will pop up when an E-mail is received in your account.
However, I have 6 E-mail addresses that I'd like to monitor. I'd like to be told (with a little pop-up or sound or something) when ANY of these E-mail accounts have received an E-mail.
I've looked on www.download.com but am very suspicious of programs that have not been recommended. I've downloaded freeware before, but more than often they don't work and/or quite often install spyware.
I'm willing to pay for a commercial program if it can be recommended.
Cheers,
Don

Not tried it myself, but PopTray has often been recommended by others on here.0

Incredimail would take care of it all, collect your mail from all accounts you may have and notify you as well.don9999 wrote:Does anyone know of a reputable program that will notify me of E-mails?

I use a product called 'eprompter', that will check on up to 8 e-mail addresses.
Works fine for me - and it's free!!
(https://www.eprompter.com)Some people get so rich they lose all respect for humanity.
That's how rich I want to be.
But until then - best wishes - Mike.

Incredimail - considered by many to be spyware.
And if you ever decide to uninstall it - best of luck !0 -
Poptray checks as many accounts as you want including pop3, gmail, hotmail. It also has filters to rid you of the junk, mail can be previewed and deleted on the server, and each account can be separately configured for time interval of the checks, plus an individual wav file can be allocated to each account. And it's free from https://www.poptray.org.
Gmail & hotmail etc require plugins to the basic programme.0 -
Yahoo notifies you of emails and you don't have to have it open like outlook express, I think you can forward other email accounts to your Yahoo account0

G Mail Has got a notifier but you do have to get a Gmail account though.0
