Of course, if it is a contractual weekly tenancy then the notice period is not 2 months..

Good news, the guy has gone.
Tenant found a potential property, landlord offered him a couple hundred quid to cover any shortfall when paying months rent in advance, tenant took him up on the offer, now he's gone. Been nice and peaceful all weekend, can finally get my own work done rather than being stressed out by the constant bass.
