Quite like pre-2007 versions of Excel.
Where the OpenOffice word processor was fairly comparable to MS Word, the spreadsheet package has always been a bit clunkier than Excel, though perfectly adequate for the average home user.
If you're used to the ribbon interface of MSO 2007 or 2010, though, it feels positively archaic.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
I recently switched from Open Office to Libre Office and found it to be a bit more up to date with regard to opening up documents in the latest MS Word formats.
The 2 are basically the same but I gather more development work has taken place on Libre Office in recent times and from what I have seen with my limited usage I would tend to agree.
You can set it so that all documents are saved in MS Word form i.e .doc and .xls by default.0
