How long does it take for a Bacs payment to clear into my account. It was paid in today. I know it used to be about 3 days is this still the case or has this improved since the FPS came into effect?

I don't think, BACS payments are used any longer, everything goes by FP.
But whatever payment method is used, the transfer must arrive in the receiving account no later then the end of the next business day.0 -

If its a company, its most likely going to be paid via BACS Credit, in which case it'll still take upto 3 days.
If its from an individuals current account, then it'll arrive by the end of the working day after it was requested at the latest.0
