For info any one in the croydon area the self scanner in purley is not working staff member told me that he thinks they are not going to repair it as customers scan products and leave them by scanner for staff to return to shelf.

Hi all, Calling all the camera buffs; I need a wee bit of advice.

Haven't banked my Tax Rebate yet, but know what I'm spending it on; a new camera.

I used to be a keen photographer when younger, but real life (family and career) got in the way a bit and now I fancy getting back into it as a hobby.

I need to start slow and since I haven't got a massive amount have been looking up bargains on Amazon.

I've heard good things about both these guys and would love some input from you chaps and chapettes. I'd be glad for input on these 2:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-Lumix-14-1MP-Digital-Camera/dp/B003WOKU4W/ref=sr_1_10?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1333322834&sr=1-10

    TIA

    OB

Edit: @FK - Am I not right in thinking that those fab pics you post for us late nighters are done with the Fujifilm I've linked to?

Hi OB, I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but my tuppence worth if I may...?

Fujifilm are excellent cameras. I believe you're right about FK using that one. The specs look excellent for the price. I have been eyeing this model up for a couple of months too, the only reason I don't have one is that finances will not allow for now.

I have never used a panasonic but have heard good things about them as well. I'd still take the fuji though. Spec is slightly better and I know the quality of their cameras have never let me down. You can get brilliant re-chargeable batteries these days, so don't be too put off that it doesn't have a Li-ion battery. (I used to have an olympus with a Li-ion battery, which failed! They're not cheap to replace either, and it's sensible to have a spare, so they are not necessarily an advantage)

    Fuji wins for me! :)

I just hope number 5 didn't get my post! If I got number 5, maybe 3 got mine, 2 got 3s and so on.....

It's just I know a certain adult occupant of number 5 isn't above stealing stuff after overhearing a rather vicious row one night

    Aternoon all!

Feeling so sick and ill!:(_pale_:( Just got over the throat infection and now have a runny nose and sneezing like crazy!

Have a close wedding I need to attend this week too!:(
Went on the bear hunt this morning at an Express and Metro and they had none left! Only bunnies!:(

But got really excited when I came home to find postie had left me 1x £15 L2S and 1x £50 L2S vouchers! Thank you SSM!:j:j:j

I didn't get my 'dog' or mum to sign up and glad I didn't as it is already really genrous of SSM to accept those coupons and on top to give us loads of ££'s worth of vouchers.

No bigger T's shop from me, family went to T's whilst I was at work so missed the weekly trip, may have to find time to get to some expresses!

Hope everyone is enjoying the weather and no-one feels like they should be stuck in bed like me!:(:p
