    re absent friends

i think he will come back just give him some time, i found it very hard to lurk esp when you have been a regular poster before, it's easy to lurk if you've never posted but once your part of the community it's natural to want to congratulate and comiserate your "friends", also can become very hard to NOT be able to ask questions when your lurking, like randomly logging on and asking for a summary of glitches if your stuck for time or made an emergency stop at T's:D:p

motherbear seems to have built a rapport with him, perhaps she could have a quiet word in his ear and give him a jolly good slap when she next sees him:rotfl::D;)

caz see you posted on the sainsbo's thread, great to see your still around and putting that maths genius brain of yours into action :T, hope you had a lovely birthday :):):)

      Evening/Night/Morning lovelies!!! :p

Been distracted and so busy since I posted earlier so catching up from earlier in the day.

FloFlo I'm sure your dear Mum would have been over the moon with the wonderful send off you gave her and well done for saying a few words, she would have been so proud of you :A

I keep going to T's and forgetting to check the Gold Blend decaf that's posted on the misprices thread! :mad:Hope it's there tomorrow and still £1.50! Also really hope the Original Source is still glitching in Sainsbugs but I reckon it'll be corrected overnight :( I love the original mint but I'm currently using black cherry (from the Boots vitamin glitch;))which is scrummy! :D

Tonight I had some luck with whoopsies. In A's I got 2 pints of skimmed milk (yes more milk but I prefer skimmed;)) and a bag of root veggies for 20p. Then in T's, I timed it well but there wasn't much left for 85% reductions. There was however 4 tortilla omlettes from the Tapas range reduced to 38p each. So I bought 3 of those (for the £1.50 discount) large broccoli for 19p, individual strawb cheesecake 5p, spag bol ready meal 26p and a bag of jam donuts 13p. Taking the multibuy duscount off = 27p - 18p wombled JTD = 9p :T:rotfl:Wombled quite a few recipts and a till spit for £1.50 off Fairy Platinum.

Afternoon everyone Lala has asked me to send her love to Floflo today:(
Done all the chores, dinner prepared, whoopsied sausages from Lalas very overstocked freezer.THis is good though because it means I dont have to go shopping with my barbie pink shopping trolley, reason being when I was younger I failed 3 driving tests:( and get my Lala to take me out with her in the car most of the time.
Update on Lala, she had rather a restless night but managed to get her to stay in bed untill lunchtime.her arm is very swollen but after ringing the hospital am reassured this is quite normal.
I think now she has come to terms with just how little she is able to do for a while.:(
Thankyou for all your lovely welcomes as you know Lala has been teaching me the computer but maybe this has given me the push I needed to join you lovely lot on mse :T:T:T:T

Nannylala your posts are fabulous! You sound like a right hoot! :jWe're all very pleased to have you onboard and now we know where Nikki gets it from! :D Sorry ot hear Nikki had a bad night and her arm is swollen but also ressured to hear that this is normal. I hope she's feeling much better this evening :A

****Just as a side note.....not sure when it ends, but WHSmiths still have the 5% discount on stamps as of today *****

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:T:T Wow well done Looby!! I can't believe it's still going, I may venture out to add a few more giftcards to my total :D And thank you so much for saying about the stamps. I was really hoping they'd still be discounted but read this was no longer the case. Guess I need to get to WHS!

Thanks Fudge_cake for your kind words you too are an :A. Glad to hear your bloods were ok and the oxytetracycline not having any adverse affect. Shame it's not made any difference yet though, I noticed a difference within a few days and I'm guessing been couple of weeks for you now? Does your skin at least feel less irritated? Hope you get it sorted somehow, I know too well how awful it makes you feel. Walked mum to hairdresser in wheelchair this afternoon and I have come back with nice bright red nose, forgot to put any sunblock on. :o

I am so going to be in OHs good books when he see the wine, fantastic deal, nice merlot and pinot noir. Getting a bit low on the Cono sur one from Ts last year so timed well. I must not order anymore though as now have well over 60 bottles from last 3 orders (though the one that arrived today beats them all) and whats left from Ts glitches or DTDs. I need a wine cellar. Might pinch Frequents bunker. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Noticed from my local echo that people have started panic buying food. I'm sure most of us on here wont need to join that frenzy thank goodness. Felt really bad joining the petrol one this morning but needs must and do not want to be apart from DDs over Easter. :)

Ahhh shucks, no trouble chicken :AThank you, yes I was so pleased! No my skins so itchy and sore, it really hasn't improved things at all! :( She did say it could take 8 weeks though and I'm at my wits end and I've exhausted the list of treatments so I think I'll just keep persevering. Atleast I know it's not giving me any problems as of yet:) But thank you for thinking of me :A

Ohhh no, I hope the redness fades by tomorrow, a little bit of moisturiser should do it, or sudocrem ;)

A wine bunker!! :T:rotfl:You need that cellar that was posted on here AGESSSSS ago and I'm sorry I can't remember by who. That was truly amazing! :D

:eek:Panic buying food! Jeez what self respecting person keeps less than a years supply of chocolate to keep them going when needs must huh?! No?? ....just me then :o:rotfl:

Don't feel guilty about filling up, spending time with your DD will cheer you up no end and you deserve it :A

She also said that, if Alan is getting out and about now, he could have his dressing changed at his GP surgery to save them having to come to the house as they had so many people to see. After considering this, I am not happy at their 'suggestion' as our surgery is in an old Georgian building and Alan wouldn't be able to manage :( We can't park in the rear disabled car park, though this does have ramp/flat entrance, as we haven't got a Blue Badge, yet, and there are steps up into the building from the front with limited parking outside, and inside there are several steps down to the nurses station. Anyway, for the time being, we shall still expect the Nurses to come to the house to see to him

It was my surgery that made this 'suggestion' to me when I was receiving post-op care after my wound split open, I wasn't allowed to drive for 4 weeks and they decided that I could take the bus, now at this point (8 days post-op) I got completely flat-out exhausted even walking up the stairs let alone to the bus stop, on a (what would have been quite painful) 15 minute bus ride and another walk to the surgery! My only option would have been a £25 total taxi ride, and I would have been in such pain from bumps in the road etc.

I called the district nurses and they said of course I shouldn't be expected to get to the surgery and the receptionist should never have tried to pressurise me into going there

If in any doubt I would call the office and explain, after all it is only one nurse that's said this, she's probably just trying to ease her own workload!

Well talking medical stuff, my friend Sue is in hospital right now. She had a nasty flare up of her Crohn's, went to A&E and was admitted, she's now on a drip being fed steroids

It was her only child's 16 bday today as well :(

I'm going to see her tomorrow, made a little bag full of stuff to keep her occupied, puzzle, magazines, some of that 'hint of peach and something' spring water (she's not allowed to eat atm), a cute little toy and some toiletries miniatures from my own collection.
