OT but has anybody taken their kids to howletts zoo in Kent? Is it any good?
I used to live in Kent and although I haven't been to Howletts in years it is a fabulous place, wonderful zoo with lots and lots of space for all the animals.Lots of walking though but a lovely day out.:j

Managed to pick up a couple of the silent night single heated blankets this evening for £4.40. Also Bob the builder surf shack set £5 & animal hospital snow rescue station £5 so already starting good collection of xmas presents.
While scouting around looking for ood sels I picked up a couple of Bright starts play mats with big red stickers reduced to 6.50 but scanned at 12.95:D:D. Great dtd opportunity so:
1.Chose my SA well a nice young tired looking lad. 2.Turned boxes over in correct position so as to ease scanning without SA noticing sticker.
3. Mix in with other shopping
4.Chat to said SA to distract.
But Oh no he turns over the box & notices wrong price :eek:. Calls over supervisor who clears transaction asks if I still want them I said I was debating whether to get them or not I'll just leave them thank you but thanks for noticing price error
:(
Never mind better luck next time. Not such a bad evening though returned phones as hubby wasn't keen on them
got them on a golden

i love the ted baker in there.Kadison.....totally OT but you're from Swindon aren't you?
We used to come up a couple of times a year and stay at the Village Hotel in South Marston. (I think it's something else now though)
Haven't been for a few years but I like shopping at the McCarthy Glen outlet centre.
Is it still any good? The last time we went was when we stopped off on the way to London a couple of years ago and i thought that a lot of the shops had closed or changed.
We have tended to stick with Clarks village in Street as it's a bit nearer, but wondering if it's worth the journey to Swindon for a change0
