Nope, Sky box is off, we don't have HD but do get the EPG and the Freesat HD channels. :T It may use the dish but it may use the coax, who knows.

    Freesat is definitely a dish...

i got some reduced chicken today, and the MULTI BUY STILL KICKED IN.
I GOT THEM HALF PRICE AND IT TOOK OFF A FURTHER £2 FOR THE MULTI BUY.
so £12 worth for £4. i had to go back in and take another 3.
also there was an old lady looking at them, so i told her if she got 3 she would only pay £4. she was really grateful.

sorry receipt is not clearer. i posted this as we all thought it was only the double multi buys that worked on reduced items.

Zippy, firstly congrats, great bargain! :T

But on the receipt....doesn't it say 2 for £7/3 for £10 on the multibuy discount? So again it is one with variable quantites, though that doesn't seem to be advertised on the chicken. Wonder if it's advertised on the SEL? :A

ETA: Yes it is variable quantities again on the meat offer! :j

So this means that buying in multiples of 2 or 3 from any of the packs listed will result in either a £1 or £2 multibuy discount! :T:T:T:T

Good Afternoon lovelies and what a gorgeous day! And apparently we're set for an excellent sunny weekend too :T

Not feeling too great today with all the stress of everything at home. It's Mum's birthday Sunday, it's not a massive milestone, it was her 50th last year and I took her to London for a long weekend, but still, a birthday is a birthday and she deserves a bit of escapism even for just one day. Now my Aunty, who fair enough has been looking after my Grandfather this week, has said she has to get away for the weekend so now it's up to Mum to look after my Grandparents meaning I won't even see her on her b'day and nobody will even say Happy Birthday to her :( It might not seem like much but small losses like this are compounded by the overall selfishness and negligence that our 'family' has shown throughout the last 9 years and it hurts that much more, that we'll be seperated and she's just been sidelined once again. This isn't a new occurence, my Mum's so lovely and selfless, in her mind she always comes on the bottom rung because that's how she's always been treated. She should feel special and worthy enough to be bothered that her own parents/sister don't even acknowledge her birthday but because it's always been like this, she doesn't feel she deserves more. She even had to buy her own 18th b'day cake !!!!!!! I just want her to be happy! :(:A

    :(

Your mum is so lucky to have you, you really are an :A and the other "relatives" (seems to wrong to refer to them as family) will sure enough reap what they have sown. You and your mum can just sit back and watch the fireworks :)

In the meantime, have a birthday on saturday and monday for your mum. She needs to get the "stolen" hour back from somewhere :):)

    xx

Thanks for the offer, already got one coming and maybe another if I bump in to MB later. ;)

Ideally I'm looking for one of the bigger spends, x amount off £60 or something...

:) Running late, should be there about 4 ;)

You can, just need to screw into the wood that is holding the PB up. And, its' not the size of TV it's the weight. Some 32" are heavier than my 40".

Mine is 17kg for a 40" but not sure if that weight includes the additional stand come surround sound system.

True, I could have said that but then I had £1ish worth of stuff so was happy to leave it. As most likely he would have called the supervisor over and then I would be even more on the radar than I am ATM! Too much stress.

I did think about going to CS though..

I now have a backlog of JTD vouchers to get rid of... too much wombling:o
  • Thanks. Lots of thumb twiddling but got there in the end.
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:
