I'm so glad to hear your sister was ok, but I just wanted to add to above message......
NEVER go out and leave a dishwasher or washing machine running or have one running when you're asleep, as they can catch fire if they develop a fault, it's simply not worth the risk. I believe more washing machines have caught fire than dishwashers but more people have washing machines so this should be disregarded, and having been in the situation of having to call the fire brigade out when mine went pop and decided to flash bright orange inside before going straight out again and wafting a distinct smell of burning under my nostrils, I just wanted to warn everyone.
And test your smoke/carbon monoxide alarms obviously
Your post made me go cold at the memory of my washing machine going up in smoke
Several years ago when my youngest was in nappies, I would quite often load the machine and set it going before I went to bed. This particular night, machine running, DH and I decided to stay up and watch a film.
Film ended and I went through to the utility room to see if was had finished. As I switched on the light I heard a strange popping noise and then the stench of burning plastic and clouds of smoke coming from the powder drawer
Panic stricken I yelled for DH to come through, he took one look at it, opened the back door, unplugged machine and managed to swivel it towards door and pushed it outside. Broke a few paving slabs but when I think what may have happened, my blood runs cold at the thought. There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Oh, I got my Mum to reclaim her PPI from her loan as they failed to pay out when she was off work sick stating that it wouldn't cover pre existing conditions (gallstones, she had to then get gallbladder out hense she was off work sick)
Well she recieved a letter from them today and has just shown me it, apparently her bank (which she has had a number of loans from over the years) checked back in their records to see what else she's had with them so she's getting over £5,000 back from them!!! :T
She's so pleased that I pursuaded her to go after them and she's getting this that she's contacting all her CC companies to reclaim from them too! :rotfl:
When I asked her for my fee she just looked at me  :rotfl:SPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D
