    Morning all,

    Still not 100% today. :(

If the store is covering up the half price, clearly priced red sticker and then selling at full price, the store is out of order.

They are not allowed to do that, and they know it. I would report both stores to your local Trading Standards.

Incidentally, for those who haven't tried them, those sausages are lovely. I use them in a lovely Spanish Sausage and Bean Casserole I make.

    Edit: Brekkie: :p

Get well soon OB , and I agree , sausages are lovely ...and the bread looks super as well . Well done to Mr & Mrs OB .

Was the water too hot it should be lukewarm, mine didn't rise but I was too lazy too knead them properly

This story reminds me of an incident a good few years back. We live next to farmer's fields and a pig got out and was in the street. Was a huge pig and nasty too. It kept trying to 'eat' car tyres and made an awful mess of the garden. I called the local police and told them that a pig was in the street, they replied laughing 'We are all here accounted for'...:rotfl::rotfl:
They did get in touch with the farmer who managed to eventually capture the pig. I never knew that pigs could be so vicious.

A very similar thing happened to me quite while back .
I was sitting on a bus in Graig - y - Rhacca ( a south wales tourist spot :) ) waiting to get off when suddenly 3 goats burst in through the sliding doors ,I mean big goats ...smelly and on the hunt for food ...I quickly departed with my plastic bag in hand ,the goats seeing this as bag of food offerings swiftly folowed me through the estate nudging and trying to snatch the bag of goodies from my hands ...they looked evil with their slanty eyes and horns , and fair play I felt slightly afraid ...I walked briskly past the chavs , drunks and local layabouts but the sickly creatures still followed .
I had to knock on some guys front door and explain what was happening and he let me out through his back garden with the Goats of Hell still baying at the front porch .

  • Hi everyone!

A very productive morning so far! Have ordered a £1 dining table set (you've gotta be in it to win it!).

After some advice from someone (Sorry -I can't remember who it was as was a few days ago and far too many posts to scroll back and find!) I have relocated my wireless printer downstairs and am now able to use the coupon wizard thingy to print off coupons from the likes of SSM etc! Wish I'd done this last night though as would have liked that free pack of huggies!

Just a quick question about the SSM coupons - have managed to go back and print 2 of each coupon but noticed it says on some of the coupons about duplication will be detected  so have you only used the one in this instance?

    Morning all.

Good start to the day ...

No bargains or 1p items, just a handful of wombles and a £5 note in T's car park.

Question ....... for the whoopsie meat/fish/poultry that has 'use by' of that or the next day, is it ok to freeze on the day and use up to a month later, or does it have to be used on day of purchase?

Rego , everytime we buy whoopsied fresh meat/fish etc we ask the guys/gals on the counter and they always reassure us that it's all ok to freeze .
