Hi I'm sorry to ask this question if it's already been asked however I am looking to move into a property with my friend my only concern is the credit check my score has recently gone down to 791 as it says I'm usuing a lot of my available credit I have 2 credit cards with about 1200 on them but I also have 2 catalogues their limit is 4150 on both however I only have 150 each on these so lots of available credit. I did take a Wonga loan out for 60 in Dec and Jan as after Christmas I had no money this was paid on time. However apart from that I am always up to date with payments and my report shows this. I have a good rental history and will be able to get references to show that rent is always paid in on time, I'm in a steady job and can show this an have been for some 8 years now I have a bank loan which is always paid on time. Do you think it will be ok? I have no CCJs or Defaults or even any missed payments.

You will very likely be fine. Letting Agent checks are not sophisticated, and generally just show up missed payments.

There is no official credit score, so any numbers you quote are meaningless to any particular firm that is doing a search. They get raw data and put their own scoring methodology on it. So I presume you got that from a credit referencing agency and it is only indicative.

My exhusband passed the letting Agents check fine and he in a DMP with PayPlan and has numerous defaults and debts - his earnings more than covered the monthly rental and that is all that they were bothered with

    Good luck
