I got a few PS2 games and DVD's which I thought I'de get rid off on eBay (Dont have a Amazon account!). I see most of the games and DVD's are worth around £1-£2 which I dont really mind just wondering if I should send them First Class or Recorded?
Because of their low value I'm not sure on what to do
.
Thanks in advance,

I've sold over 200 dvd's this month, with none worth more than £10, and every one has gone 1st class. The majority have arrived next day, and so far none have been reported lost. The RM is not that bad really!
Just make sure you get Proof Of Postage - if they go missing, claim it back from PO.
Free Selling Tip! - when you list them, do not use the default title provided by eBay, make sure you get the lead actor name or names, and DVD somewhere in the title - DVD is top 10 search keyword, and loads of searches are done by actor names as well. Get yourself in both search results lists to boost sales.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Good idea actually, I'll use that for DVDs!
Also consider going to CeX.co.uk and selling to them, in a store for instant cash too. A lot less hassle, despite the state of their stores. As a PowerSeller, I never leave feedback first. The reason I do this is because I know how much it winds the people on the forums up... :beer:0 -
The few times I've sold DVDs on ebay (I normally sell them on Amazon) I've either sent them first class with proof of posting or recorded delivery if the buyer paid extra. Most of them didn't.
The proof of posting came in very handy when that one RM depot caught fire a few years back as a DVD I posted the day before never made it...0 -

Thanks for the tip, I find that some of my DVD's dont do very well. Now I know why. :money:0 -
If you have any DVD's in the cardboard sleevs with a plastic edge, these can be posted at the under 100g Large Letter rate - 37p 2nd class, 44p 1st (ish!) As long as they have no inserts in them.
Cover them once over in bubble-wrap, & post in the grey poly mailbags, or one of the featherlite jiffybags.
Acceptable postage rates in the DVD category go up to about £2.75- £3.00. I have listed DVD's at different postage rates and starting prices to test the market - and sales are exactly the same at a 99p start with £2.00 postage, as 99p start at £1.25 postage.
It's not exactly postal gouging - the market expects to pay this price so I am happy to let them, without ripping it too excess. And yes, I do offer healthy postage discounts for multiple purchases!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0
