iTunes not loading up in mac

My iTunes is not loading up because of a conflict with a sonix webcam plug-in, how do i find this plug-in to delete it? Any help would be great , thanks

Can you try something?

Have a look in the folder /Library/Quicktime

Is there a file containing the name sonix something or other.component?

If there is move this file out of the quicktime derectory, say onto the desktop and try iTunes again. Don't delete the file yet.

If you don't have a file with sonix in the name is there one called DesktopVideoOut.component? Try moving that one to the desktop and trying iTunes.

Let us know what happens

No problem.

However, do you know what it was that installed the driver and by moving it has anything stopped working?

I dont know where the driver came from, but seems to work fine now .

Good but I only remembered what to do because I had a similar problem on a friends Mac. I think it was installed by Photoshop
but I'm not entirely sure

Let's hope it was installed by something that doesn't need it and that you won't have any more issues.

To be on the safe side I'd make a note of what you've done then in 6 months time when you fire up some program you hardly ever use and it doesn't work you'll know where to start looking!
