PPI & Bankruptcy

Hi, was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me.
I've recently been discharged from my bankruptcy and received a letter from my OR saying he has applied to be released from being trustee of my finances/estate.
So if/when he is released, does this mean I can claim my PPI charges back and keep any money I might be awarded? Or does it still go to my OR towards my debts that had been wiped with the bankruptcy?
Very confusing, hope someone can help!
Thanks :)

I've heard many conflicting opinions on this, might be best to post the question in the dedicated bankrupty section:

For any PPI that was put in place prior to bankruptcy, the lender can use the redress to go against any debt that was written off or pass it to the OR/Insolvency Service.

There is some confusion as some people have received refunds despite this. However, typically that is where the lender wasnt aware you had been made bankrupt. e.g. a debt that was repaid normally prior to bankruptcy. If the bank lost out and knew you were bankrupt then you would not expect to see a penny.

Depends whether the complaint being made is against one of the creditors involved in the OP's bankruptcy. If the debt has never been paid off, then any redress would go to the Official Receiver.
