Feeding Herb Containers

Last year, I bought quite a few herbs that went into pots on my balcony. These have done amazingly well (I hadn't gardened at all before last year), and have even survived the winter. :j
I have never fed them though. As I am wanting them to continue to do well this year, do i need to feed them? If so, then what should I use? I really have no idea.
My preference is to keep them organic.
(Also, thank you to all of you that post on this board. There is some really useful information which as a beginner is most appreciated.:T As a result, i'll be having ago with tomatoes this year and will be joining the rush to Aldi next weekend and getting a mini-greenhouse)

If they are herbs such as Basil, Dill, Fennel,Chives, Mint, Corriander, Parsley then a little general fertilzer is good idea.
If they are herbs such as Rosemary, Thyme, Lavender, Sage then no do not feed them as you will loose the strength of flavour/scent. - However do repot them after 3 years, as the soil will gradually become sour for them in pots.
If you are growing Tomatoes, plant Basil and Marigolds nearby this helps keep the tomatoes pest free.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
