I filled in my form about 3 or 4 weeks ago and I dont recall any statement about warrant?
what it did say is that I will get information regarding pay out if I'm entitled around june or july cant remember which.

I never filled in any forms; I just wrote off the money as lost. That's why I'm so surprised to get £3,800 part compensation out of the blue...

Got a letter out of the blue today. Award is less than their interest calculation. So they calculate what they think you have lost, apply an interest calculation and then apply a completely arbitrary % reduction. What was the point of paying expensive actuarial advisors to calculate the projected losses and then "adjust" the results. They might as well have guessed an amount.

Intend to query mine as the pension valuation does not agree with the paperwork I had from equitable on exit from their with profits pension.

I've not heard any thing since either.
  • Hi,I sent proof of my identity and residence in early April this year. A friend of mine, with a similar policy, sent his documentation in later since when he has received a payment. I have received nothing, not even a letter telling me what payment I might expect to receive. Anyone know why this might be so?

Another question please which relates to the problematic phrase "relative loss". I moved my fund out of Equitable and suffered a 15% deduction on the value of my fund valued, I assume, on the transfer date. There is nothing "relative" about this. It was an absolute loss of 15% of my fund. Anyone know how this affects things?

I sent off all my info months ago and received an acknowledgement but since then - nothing at all. Is that normal? Is there a particular number you should call? I expected it to be years, frankly (it had already been 17 years since the payments in started)

I haven't received any letter or forms from Equitable Life. Does anyone know a phone number or email address so I can contact them and check I am on the list?

    Thanks

I've just arrived home and have received a cheque for almost £2000, no covering letter, just a cheque, recall having a pension with EL back in the late 1999's to 2002 or thereabouts, all done through work. Anyway googled the EL payment scheme as I knew nothing about it and am still not that much clearer! But what a lovely surprise!
