HSBC "ADJUST TO CR" What does this mean?!

I checked my online banking today with hsbc-I have a basic bank account with them. I noticed they had put £10 in my account, next to it it says "ADJUST TO CR 1"
What does this mean?
Why did they put £10 in my account? I have never had a bounced direct debit etc with them, so never had any charges on it that they could have been refunding?
Anyone?

It appears to be an adjustment to a CR (credit?) numbered 1. Why don't you give them a ring and ask them then let us know. I'm curious.

Have you paid some money into your account recently (particularly by putting into a paying in envelope into a machine)? Could you have written an incorrect amount on that / or a mis read figure?

Thats the only time I had something similar to the above (although that was with olderstyle paying in machines).
