Machine for 7 year old

We bought ourselves a new desktop and stripped down the old one to nothing more than Microsoft Office and internet for the kids (complete with age appropriate protection).

We have a laptop as well but because they use desktops with a proper mouse at school, we find they prefer to use that at home too (kids are 9 and 7).

I would suggest, cheap is fine.

That way if there is a spill or other mishap only the keyboard or mouse would cop it.

Also set it to use Open DNS.
