Hi Kerry
I have not came across any updates as yet, but I assumed it was all back to the 8 weeks again!
Hopefully someone who are dealing with them will be along soon with the answer to this one for you.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

The Banks have to apply to the FSA for extensions of this kind. Last year, the FSA allowed some cases to take a maximum of 16 weeks due to the expected influx of new complaints because of the court case.
This extension was removed from January 1st 2012, since when the Banks have had the normal 8 weeks to reply.
I've seen nothing about any further extensions being allowed (so far)

The details are here. What it boils down to is:
A complaint received before the outcome of the court case had to be responded to by 1 September 2011 (which has passed).
A complaint received after the court case but before 1 September 2011 had to be responded to within 16 weeks (which would have expired by the end of 2011 in all cases.
A complaint received from 1 September onwards had to be responded to within 12 weeks. So a complaint received on 31 December would have to be responded to (i.e. a complaint put into the post) by 24 March 2012. This is actually only theoretical. 31 December was a Saturday so it would be deemed to have been received on 3 January, the first business day following (or 4 January if it was a firm in Scotland).0 -
Sounds like they are fobbing you off. Exactly how long have you been waiting for their final response?kerry13238 wrote: »mine is over the the 8 weeks deadline.
This really is a game of patience. Remember, if the Bank do not uphold your complaint then you will wait for many many more months if you subsequently ask the FOS to take on your case.0 -

Seems likely they'll be taking the eight weeks as starting from the 9th March, if that's the date they accept they received it.kerry13238 wrote: »i printed off a questionnaire myself and posted it they got that on 9th march0 -
