Daily Mail Rewards Club Thread

Called the alternative number today and asked to get put through to Mail Rewards and then I had to press Option 2 (just in case anyone has to do the same). I spoke to a very nice person who asked for my password, which I was very surprised at as we are never supposed to give our passwords to anyone!! Anyway he logged in and put my missing numbers on for last Wednesday when there were no papers in our area due to a printing problem and they said they were aware of this. We buy the papers 7 days a week so I was going to miss out on my triple points because of this problem but he said that I now qualify for them so that's great. I checked and the points definitely did go on. Strange that he needed my password, isn't it?"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0

Hi Ailey,
Yes, it's very odd that he wanted your password as they should be able to override members' log-ins. Maybe they'd drafted in the office junior to deal with some of the phone calls and he was supposed to ask people for their postcodes, not passwords!
Glad you've got your points now but I do feel the Mail ought to have sent you a code when you originally contacted them via the Contact Us email, instead of giving you an 0844 number to phone. Why should you have had to jump through all these hoops to get a code when it was their fault! Grrr!

I'm losing patience with DM rewards club.
I decided to start collecting for the Morphy Richards Soup Maker (over 17000 points) and I'm not quite halfway there yet but it has vanished from their list of rewards. I doubt many people would have had enough points to claim one.
I emailed DM rewards club to complain that the "huge carrot" I was chasing had vanished but they didn't seem to understand.
I think this club is run by a turnip brain.0 -

It should really go back to the days when you could select your reward before you started collecting. That way we could avoid the price risers too.0 -

It's run by "The Hut" group (The Hut, Zavvi etc) so I think that explains it.
