Really? So what's the point of going out specially for the Mail on Sunday? I don't understand that. There was no card in mine a couple of weeks ago and I phoned the number on the Monday and they asked me for some information about the magazine which I had beside me and then gave me a number. I wonder why they are not doing that. If I thought that was going to be the case from now on, I wouldn't bother buying the Mail on Sunday. We do buy the Daily Mail Mon-Sat anyway.

    From the website:
A Unique Number has been entered into your account and the Mail Points added to your current collection. Please be advised that this function can only be used once in an 8 week collection period.

Looks like you will have to buy on Sunday!

Ah! Now I understand. I wondered why they would just give out the numbers without buying the paper. Well that's good as sometimes there might be something like illness or genuinely not being able to get a paper as the local shop for some people may have sold out and this could mean losing out after collecting all those Sat and Sunday papers. Well done Daily Mail but still too expensive as I used to be able to buy 3 Sunday papers and this extra only cost me £4.50 and I could exchange that for a 2 course Pizza Express meal. Now I've worked out that it will cost me £12 for equivalent so hardly worth it now. I'll continue until I use the banked ones up and try to get the best deal with them. I must have a good look at what else is available and work out if it's worth paying £6 a month maybe to save for a better item. Thanks folks.

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but is the Daily Mail Rewards Club worth joining?

As well as the larger rewards and physical items, the simple answer is, only if you're going to take existing discounts (Nectar, Mr T vouchers, till spits and so on) and deliberately buy the Sunday paper with some of those to keep the total down. That's for £5 vouchers with your banked 1500 points. Since cinema tickets are closer to the outlay that you're spending on the papers, especially for evening shows, then those are still worth going for in my view, in lieu of a direct debit scheme like Cineworld Unlimited.

So it depends what you're looking to get out of the scheme. I review it at the end of every collection period, and since there are at least 4-5 films I want to see from now to the end of summer, some spare vouchers will be handy.
