I was refused in Boots, HMV nad ELC.... it was very embarrassing... i emailed reward club, they emailed back today saying "Please be aware that if you want to buy something that costs more than the available balance on your Card, another method of payment will need to be presented first. If it is not done in this order, the card will not work"... i will have to try this, but make sure i pay the difference in cash I suppose, not a card..... what a pain!!

Thanks for letting me know, now I will definitely spend it on something where the difference won't be much more than the 20 quid, and it's looking like Tesco all the way for future rewards (even with the minimal risk of a blank card) if there's always going to be some catch with the other ones.
