pre-existing medical conditions

Hi, Could someone tell me if there is a list of medical conditions which excludes you from taking out a PPI or does it differ from bank to bank.I have a heart murmer, from birth and when i had a heart scan it showed up a narrow gap between two of the chambers of the heart, and hubby was diagnosed with asthma before we took out the last loan.Does anyone know if we have a good case to put in a claim for mppi.No one asked us for any pre existing medical conditions at the time of getting the loan. When we took out the mortgage with Lloyds in 19994 i was asked to have a medical by the bank for the endowment policy after i told them of the heart condition, and after the medical, the premium went up.Would the policy be invalid if we had to put a claim in,Thanks in advance:)

It is any condition which is severe enough to virtually invalidate the possibility of any claim being made for illness.

No. neither of these would invalidate the possibility of claims for illness. There would only be exclusions in any condition that is related to those.

Even then, it is quite possible that FOS would force the insurer to pay the claim if it was not made clear at outset that it would be excluded.
